The use of vehicles as a means of transport continues to increase rapidly as the growth and sustainability of any economy, so do the safety issues related to this. To enhance safety against fire, vehicles are equipped with hand-held fire extinguishers to help curb the case of fire. Unfortunately, it cannot be operated once people are incapacitated or in the case of people who are physically impaired. This previous method has failed.
The principal aim of this project is to provide a safe and automatic fire extinguishing system for vehicles that is capable of detecting fire using a combination of sensors for smoke, flame, and impact together under the programmable control unit which gives the command to the switch controlling the extinguishing valves.
The sensors provide the fire feedback to the control unit, distinguishing the fire scenario from the false alarms.
